Smiley Boy

Mayson is turning into such a smiley boy. Here is a video and picture of him just cheesing it up. They are taken on my phone, so the quality is not very good.

2 Month check up

Mayson went for his two month check up today. After waiting at the doctor's office for an hour dealing with stupid insurance issues, Mayson finally got to go back. It was past his feeding time so he was already mad, then the doctor poked at him, and the mean nurse gave him 4 shots and oral immunization. Mike and I made our guesses before he got weighed and measured, I guessed right on the nose, 12 pounds 2 ounces and 23 inches long. He is between the 25th and 50th percentile on both height and weight. The doctor says we have a handsome healthy little boy, we have to agree :)

2 months old

I really need to be better at this blogging business. Mayson was 2 months old yesterday, and is ever changing. He is holding his head up really well now when sitting, making all sorts of sounds,trying to roll over (he gets to his side and doesn't know what to do next) and smiling at his mommy and daddy all the time. Mike has been running Daddy Daycare for two weeks now and I think he is loving it. I am so thankful that we were able to work out a schedule that he could stay at home with Mayson during the day. Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks.

Meeting Gabe and Adam

Mayson got to meet his cousins Gabe and Adam for the first time over the holidays. Adam is 2 months and 12 days older than Mayson, and Gabe just turned 3 in October. They are going to have so much fun growing up together.



Sadie got to play with Gabe this year too. Sadie just loved playing with Gabe. They became buddies while we were there.

Mayson's First Christmas

Mayson's first Christmas was filled with lots of family and friends. He was spoiled rotten by his aunts and uncles and grandparents. This year Mommy and Daddy got to open all of his gifts, but that won't last for long. Next year he will be wanting to open his and anyone else who will let him open theirs. Here is just a preview of his wonderful Christmas.

Santa made a special trip over to Papa Hoskins' house so we didn't have to get out.

Highlights in December

I am offically terrible at blogging. Over the past month we have had many vistors and made a trip back to Illinois to see friends and family for the Holidays. Since Mayson was born all of his grandparents were able to come out and visit. Mike and I had to have a baby to get them to come and visit. We drove back to Illinois, which took us 2 1/2 days there and 2 1/2 days back. Mayson and Sadie did so good in the car.
We were able to get some Christmas pictures done with Tracy at Picture Perfect when were were home, she does such an awesome job. While we were home my mom and the Barbre's threw a shower for Mike, Mayson and I. We have such giving friends and family. While Mayson was home we was able to meet all of his cousins, Aunts and Uncles, and great- granparents.

He was even able to meet his friends Jayden, Jodi and Aaron.
